SUPERMAN: Born on the doomed planet of Krypton, Kal-El was sent in a rocketship by his parents, Jor-El and Lara, moments before the planet exploded. After crashing in Smallville, Kansas, he was found by Jonathan and Martha Kent and raised by them as if he were their own child. As young Clark grew, he discovered he possessed a vast array of powers, including superhuman strength, speed, invulnerability, flight, heat vision, super breath, telescopic vision, and superhuman hearing. Now, Clark is a newspaper reporter for the Daily Planet where he works with his wife, Lois Lane. He also lives a double-life and uses his powers as Superman, the greatest hero the universe has ever known. |

STEEL: John Henry Irons is a brilliant inventor who used to be a weapons engineer for Amertek Industries. But after a weapon he designed fell into the wrong hands, Irons left Amertek and faked his death, beginning a new life in Metropolis as a construction worker named Henry Johnson. After Superman's death, Irons discovered his weapons being used by street gangs and, inspired by Superman, crafted a suit of armor for himself and took on the name Steel. Since Superman's return from the dead, Steel has become one of his most trusted allies. |

LANA LANG: Born and raised in Smallville, Lana lived next door to Clark her whole life. The two became very close friends and over the years, Lana secretly harbored a crush on Clark, but never acted on it. One night after graduation, Clark asked Lana to go on a walk with him and Lana assumed he was going to propose to her. Instead, Clark revealed his powers to her and told her he was leaving for Metropolis. Originally bitter about this, Lana eventually grew out of her fixation on Clark and married another Smallville resident, Pete Ross. The two had a son, whom Lana named Clark. Recently, her and Pete divorced and Lana moved to Metropolis with her son. |

JIMMY OLSEN: When Jimmy Olsen was a teenager, he met Clark and Lois while working as a photographer at the Daily Planet. Over the years, he formed a strong bond with them, and became close friends with both. Like Lois, he also developed a friendship with Superman that has developed over the years. However, despite being Clark's best friend, and even serving as his best man in Lois and Clark's wedding, Jimmy still has no knowledge of Clark's double life. After working as a news anchor for GBS for a period, Jimmy eventually returned to the Planet as a photographer. |

PERRY WHITE: Hard-headed but good natured, Perry White is the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet and paired up Lois and Clark together as partners. Despite his many hardships over the years, especially a battle with lung cancer, Perry has remained just as fiery as ever in his spirit and convictions, an attitude that has made the Daily Planet one of the most respectable newspapers in the world. |
