Todd Rice grew up as a normal teen with working-class adoptive parents.

Then one day he discovered he had mysterious magical powers, including the ability to control shadows & psychic powers, which lead to a reunion with his long-lost twin sister Jennie-Lynn Hayden.

They practiced using their gifts, soon adopting the heroic identities of Jade & Obsidian at Jennie's suggestion. Eventually, they joined several other young heroes to form Infinity Inc. a team composed of JSA members' offspring & proteges.

They suspected and later were able to confirm their father was the great GA hero/JSA founding member Alan Scott a.k.a. Green Lantern (currently known as Sentinel).

Now with our world slowly becoming consumed by its own darkness, can the one hero who's able to control it show us the light?
